I understand open beta forms are available, but the www.worldofwarcraft.com site is so swamped I can't even verify it!!!

EXCELLENT!

The site was down all weekend so it wouldn't surprise me if they were prepping as best they could for the deluge if this in in-fact open beta time.

Questions I'm trying to get answered ASAP:
1) If you applied for a previous beta, do you need to apply again?
2) If you were in the ST, do you need to apply again?

PS: as of right now (12:52 pm EST), they're offline again

I need to remind myself of this regularly.

If I remember correctly, I read somewhere on the official site that all previous beta testers would need to download the client again but be able to use their old accounts.

No nothing new for me either. Maybe the closed testers were just downloading the new client they are going to use for open.

Mind you I can't hit http://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/ so maybe there is some truth to the matter.

I was lucky, I had a window open from a long time ago, that page was refreshing OK, all new instances of IE that I tried to direct to the site were blacking out.

The lucky window crapped out on my a few minutes ago. We are doomed, doomed, the sky is falling....
