I thought the title would draw some eyes. Is anyone interested in haveing an Avian battle in a battlefield? This could be a possibility for after this next hunt. If your interested please post below and say which side you would like to be on so we can see if its going to be a fair fight. And if anyone knows of a good battlefield that isnt too far away from a city please post. I know there is one South of Lake Retreat on Naboo, but it looks like a long way out.

Do Battlefields work? Last time I was in one it placed me in front of a turret. I was killed while still loading!

I'd love to do a PvP battle. Or even SvS. Section Vs Section

Here is the list of battle fields again, the PVP only for Naboo is located at /waypoint -4113 -533. Not sure how far it is, but maybe we can send a few folks to check it out to make sure it works just in case for the rest of us.

you get to pick a side if you aren't a part of a faction yet.

They say you neutrals can play in battle fields. You just have to pick a side when entering. What I am hearing is that you do not have to go covert in order to play.

Cyrus, you're correct. I did that last month or so... pretty fun, but it was an Imp Base (the beach north of Theed) with no one in it, and I picked rebel... not smart (I couldn't pick Imp... perhaps we should all go there and try a hand at some of that).

Orbital, that's a PvE battlefield. You can only pick Rebel.

Cyrus and I tested the PVP battlefield last night. It works fine, there is an imp recruiter right outside it. I didn't see a reb recruiter. We are still not sure if you have to declare prior to entering, here's why.

I am covert reb and was welcomed right in as soon as I got there. Cyrus got agroed by a borvo thug on the way there. When he tried to enter it would not allow him because he had temp enemies.

When checking on this further I discoverd that if you fight anyone 15 mins prior to entering it will not allow you in. I got killed by a turret the firsttime and was deposited outside the battlefield. I was at full heath when out there. It takes 15 mins for the battlefield to reset. So not knowing about the temp enemy rule, Cyrus became covert imp at the imp recruiter. We both got in and fought the second time. Cyrus fights really good for a master merchant! I again got killed by a turret, but this time not before killing a wall and 3 generators at the little imp base that spawns when the battle begins.

All in all this looks like a good outing.

The Gungan/Imp Battlefield is nice. I would suggest we all go with one side so as not to be attacking eachother. Wouldn't want peoples feelings to get hurt and end up with extra problems at the end of the day.

Last night was very fun, I thought. Although next time I would like more help on my team..... something about a big wook charging me makes me very nervous.

Obo, I know that. I meant to suggest we all try the different faction 'fields, so that we can all be on one side and she the dumb NPCs what useless crafters are made of.

I don't think there will be any hard feelings since no wounds result from the deathblow that forces the other player from the battlefield. Yeh it get's ugly on here, but everyone will know that it's like a pick-up football game if we go to the battlefield

My heart tells me to go rebel, but seeing how I will be ineffective in combat it might not matter which side I join.

I'm willing to shot at anyone , but I'll need my gun from wermas first.

Also, is there an equipment rule? Should we all use the same tpye of armor/guns? We could make a batch of mid-level weapons so everyone uses the same weapon type, but that make take away from the fun of squashing your enemy...err friend/PA mate

Ok, we are starting to get a good sized number, so as the numbers continuse to grow, when should this battle be hld? Whats a good time? My best days will be Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday. I have these days all open so anytime if its one of those days for me.
