been waiting on this game. I will pick it over in early Dec and probably spend my 6 weeks off of work playing that and Civ IV.

Cannot wait to play this one. Looks really fun.

Nice review of it here

six weeks non-paid vacation :(
We start up again the second week of Jan. For Dec Im going on a short tour with a Ballet to fill the time.

It is a nice break though considering this week alone we are slated for 80+ hours with 30 of those hours coming from Fri-Sat.

Just picked it up and played the tutorial. Am now playing the actual game...at least the simulation piece of it. I haven't gotten into the actual movie making. I have to say the tutorial / coaching which is a game option as well is probably the best in-game tutorial I have ever seen in 23 years of gaming.

I'll be interested to see what others think...

I played for about 4 hours last night. At least 3.5 hours were played on my first game after the tutorial. I'm only in the 1930's!!!! Its been fun so far and here are my first impressions:

- This is two games: 1) the sim like RTS and 2) the movie making process
- Its easy to let go of the movie making process and just play the RTS part of the game, but it does get a bit repetitive in its components.
- I think where the game will really take off (and cause each game to take several weeks to finish) is when you take the time to invest in the creative process of making every movie. If its your baby up for an award and getting accolades it'll really draw people into the game.
- The depth of the movie making process is impressive! I can say this because of the amount of stuff I had absolutely no idea how to use is very intimidating. Add to it the sets, the customization of stars, etc. and how combined with the online community and the ability to purchase customes and additional sets, its really pretty amazing.
- Multi-tasking by creating several scripts and shooting 3-4 movies at a time is difficult to do and I almost ran out of money!

Ok so my playtime on this game has pretty much fallen off a cliff. I played 2 games into the 70-80's, and am now on my 3rd game into the 90's, but I haven't touched it in a week.

Anybody else feeling the same way.

My main complaints are:

1)re-playability is well...you feel like you are playing the same game over and over like Groundhog Day

2) The movie making process is completely not linked to the RTS so unless you really like making movies...what's the point?

Don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun the first few times playing it, but not sure that makes it worth 50 bucks.

Honestly, it looks like a really fun game that I'd definitely enjoy. For about a week. Once it gets down to a $20 special, I may have to pick it up. It certainly is unique. But I just don't have enough time to play the games I've purchased recently, let alone add new ones to the mix.
