So playing BH I find it rather had for Corso to pull group aggro in the first strike; he normally harpoons someone close and I lob a grenade. Well I just found an awesome new opening attack.

hit ~ and the companion bar will open
c+9 should be Harpoon Shot. Unclick this to make it inactive.

Now Corsos opening is Charged Shot + Frag Grenade!

How I do my opening: Find corsos opening target, hit cntrl+1 (corso's attack). As he is winding up hiw charged shot I move a few paces away, Cover and right as he fires I lob my grenade. Corso's grande is right behind yours. This attack will usually know out the initial target. From there Corso uses is Flameguard so he is much better at group aggro.

Note! Whenever you Dismiss Corso, send him on a mission, he dies, or any other time he leaves you you will have to turn Harpoon Shot back off - I haven't found a way to turn it off completely.

This is a much better opening than Harpoon. Try it out and see for yourself! :)

<reminiscing>
Going all the way back to the Baldur's Gate games, there was a file that you could edit that allowed you to configure the AI of your party members. It was like a macro language in that you could define which attacks they used, in which order; or more generally, whether to go melee or ranged; and at what point they should stop attacking and heal themselves or heal you. I very much doubt the companion config in SWToR is anywhere near that extensive, but it's nice to reminisce.

The point here is that people play in different styles and it's almost certainly worth seeing what the config options are to best suit your playing style.

Too bad you are smuggler, and not a BH.
