I know it's asking a lot, but I was hoping someone could do me a huge favor and host the new patch for me to download. I'm stuck on dialup at home, so if I try to patch tonight, it'll take me days, and the patch mirror sites like Fileplanet and such are blocked by my corporate firewall at work.

When you run your Blizzard downloader, it should create a folder called "WoW-1.12.x-to-2.0.1-enUS-patch" with four files in it: wow-partial-1.MPQ, wow-partial-2.MPQ, wow-partial-3.MPQ, and wow-final.MPQ. Exit the downloader, download the files from either of the links above. Copy those files over to the folder created when you finish downloading. Run the downloader again and it'll do a quick checksum then start patching.

I only had to DL to 2mbs to get my patch complete. They were downloading it throughout the week, so I suppose the longer you were on the more of the patch you got.

You had 4 options on downloading this file. You could od had it download while you were not logged int othe game as well .

I found the link to the mirror that was posted on the WoW forums and got it all downloaded and installed. Now I'm just waiting for the servers to come back.

Shortly after I posted this thread, my corporate internet connection decided to block this site. Now I can't get here from work.

I have a current subscription to www.gamespot.com... they allow you to download all of the patches off their highspeed servers. I always like using them cause I feel safe getting from them... of course with the new patching system this might not be an issue anymore. Of course, I do pay a yearly fee as well.'
