Post subject:  OFFICIAL - Avian Launch Day Server Selection Thread -
We are on Dalaran East Coast PvE server.
We are on Shadowmoon East Coast PvP server.




We've decided on a dynamic selection process for choosing the server due to the complexities and unforeseen circumstances involved in other methods that were discussed. Therefore, the people who will be installing in the morning should follow these guidelines.

1) Once your game is installed and your account is created, alt-tab to access the Avian site and this thread. Remember to refresh if you had the page up already. If there is no server selected go to 2.

2) Make a post here indicating server selection is in process.

3) Create a character on an East Coast PvE Server Choose a lightly loaded server with an unappealing, unagressive, or blase sounding name. For example choose sheep server over wolf server, or pussywillow server over thunderhammer server. Do the best you can if you are first, no one is going to blame you if later it turns out the server is busy or heavily loaded. Any other options we had were going to be totally random anyway.

4) Check to make sure your character is in the game world and then IMMEDIATELY alt-tab back out and post your selection here. Remember to refresh the page to double check no one is in before you. In the event of simultaneous server picks use the server of the person who has posted first in this thread.

If there are any questions and there is even the remotest chance you may be first, contact Rocklar, tobiasds, or Arindel to clarify. There will also be a seperate thread to discuss and question in. Please do not post in this thread unless you are following the server instructions on launch day.

As a backup to this website we will be using the eq2 avian site at this address

I'm a bit confused. Is Dalaran the official Avian server or not? I'm thinking Orbie's just being himself with the Khadgar business, but it's getting a little confusing.

I made a level 3, almost level 4 Orc Warrior, got booted off the server, reconnected, and my character had been rolled back to level 1.

If my level 7 Paladin rolls back to level 1, I may be playing a different class....I'll probably screw it, and go Horde.

I say lynching by angry mob would be an appropriate fate for young Tobias!
Tom and I had fun playing on the Blood something server, got our undeads up to lvl 6. I was hoping to catch the crowd on teamspeak to see if anyone else wanted to meet up on an alternate server but I didn't hear anyone.

Note, that now we are also creating characters on Shadowmoon PvP server. This is intended to be a back up server and for those members who wish to get some PvP in.

There is no plan now to change the PvE server, however this could change soon and on short notice if the planned downtime of our server gets re-reextended one more time.
