Since I fired up my machines this morning, I've not been able to log into MSN Messenger. Further, I cannot access the MSN Help pages (they're web-based) nor can I access Microsoft's support site. I can, however, get to a bunch of other websites. I made no changes to my configuration. I'm running XP Pro on 3 machines and 2000 Pro on my laptop (work). My Linksys BEFSR41 serves as the connection between cable modem and PCs. DHCP is enabled and no ports are blocked. I'm running the most recent version of Linksys firmware (1.45.6 dated 6/26/03). I'm stumped and my ability to search for help online is compromised. Any help from anyone out there in Avian land? |

After searching for a source of alternate help last night, it appears we're not the only two with this problem. I, along with others, cannot access www.hotmail.com either. Try that out Ta'lon, we'll see if there's a real trend here. |

Lo and behold, I'm able to log in today! Ta'lon you may want to try it if you haven't already. I can log into MSN at all my machines, access the MSN download page and access MS's support pages. I made absolutely no configuration changes to any of my hardware or network. Very odd. |

Yesterday they wanted me to DL a new patch or something for security reasons. Maybe that was what was causing the trouble. |

Take a gander at this. Some around here simply thought I was nuts or didn't know how to work MSN <glares at Mantison>. The article the above link leads to should clear that right up. ![]() |
