My Linux machine, which is probably 8 years old now, self-built, caught fire today! Which was fun! Fortunately, it looks like it was just the PSU so I'm hoping everything else is alright. I might try replacing the PSU when it's all cooled down and see if it still works. Alternatively, it might be about time to think about ditching it! |

Fire sucks. No fire with mine, but I am ready to get a couple new ones for me and Danyale. I guess right now I’m just trying to squeeze as much time as I can get out of the existing one. I can get more for my money the longer I wait. I am not sure if I want to go with a laptop or a desktop. I have always been a desktop for gaming fan. But my new home office configuration will require at least 1 laptop... I am not sure whether I should just get two. For the past year I have been using a 32 inch LCD tv with my work laptop, it is awesome. When I leave Africa I am bringing the tv with me and mounting it on the wall across from my home office desk. |
