Went to their concert here last night and I cannot give those boys enough praise. I was totally blown away. Now, I am not a super big country music fan, but do listen to it along with my modern rock. So I did have an idea of some of their songs going in, but my god, I had no idea they put on such an amazing show. I also really appreciated how even the lead guitar and bass player could sing very well. Most of the time its just the lead vocals and then others as mediocre backup. Not here. Kudos to all 3 of them. Walking in there were at least 15 semis sitting in the parking lot, and when we got there we saw why. The stage was huge!! It even had a smaller stage towards the back of the floor crowd and had a bridge that they raised and lowered at various points of the show for the members to move back and forth. The light show was also killer. I am not usually one to plug bands on forums but I had to make this post that if anyone here is even a remote country music fan, and these guys are coming through your city on tour, make sure you go see them. You will not be disapointed in the least. /clap |

/guilty pleasure. I have every one of their CDs. Simon Cowel (or however you spell it) from American Idol once said that the lead singer from Rascal Flatts was the best vocalist in music hands down. |

I love their music. Been listening to them for years. But when I have to choose between them and Metallica, Metal wins every time. ![]() |

I heard on the radio yesterday that the singer apparently was also sick (head cold) during the performance. Could be why the other members were singing but still, I couldn't tell from the way he sang and actually found it very cool, as mentioned, that the rest sang. And now today, I heard thary had to cancel their Saskatoon show last night due to laryngitis (sp?). Guess we got lucky to see them when they were here. I even learned that the drummer is from Edmonton!! Woot woot local boy! I may have to go grab an album. Maybe find a greatest hits collection of theirs if possible. |

I know Gary and Jay are from my neck of the woods. We've got a surprsingly large country scene here. I bought there first CD when it came out and it was pretty good. I kind of lost interest in them and most country in the early 00's when all you could hear on the radio was the endless sappiness of pop country at the time from Faith Hill and Shania and etc. I really should check out the country on XM.. just too many stations! |
