Locke Trinmin has a problem.

I will play the "question game" with you all.

The goal of the game is to find out what my problem is.

Each person is to ask me one question at a time, and I shall answer their question to the best of my ability. Once that question is answered, you may ask another one. The statements I make will be in bold text.

Ultimately, once you find out what my problem is, those participating will be able to help me make a decision.

The first question will definitely be an easy one.

Here we go....

I'm pissed off.

p.s. Judging by the statement I make, ask a question.

Please try again.

If you were British I would ask if you had been drinking :P.

Is it a personal Problem, a Work Problem, or some other type of reason why you are pissed off?

Here I'll help you out.

Why are you pissed off Locke?

OMG EVERYONE, THAT'S SO EASY!!

Here, I'll tell ya......and screw the bold text.

A couple of months ago I cut my pinky finger really bad, and I can't bend the tip of it. Well I cut the nerve, and the tendon, so basically I'll need surgery. If I get surgery, I'll have to do all this crap, where the surgeon will have to make a tube like thing and connect the tendon from the bottom of my finger to the top.

First, we have to see if the tendon is in place. If the tendon is in place, then they just have to connect it to the other end, and they don't have to make a little tunnel, or tube thing for the tendon to go through.

If it's not in place, it means it snapped back to the palm of my hand when it was cut, and the surgeons will have to make a tunnel, or tube like thing for the tendon to go through. Usually if a tendon snaps back, it pushes or breaks the tunnel that the tendon goes through.

Basically if I go through these operations, I'll have to wear a hand device thingy for 5 weeks for it to heal completely.

The main problem here is that afterwards I won't be able to lift anything for approx. 5-6 months, more like 5 months, with my right hand. So that basically means I can't even lift a chair or table with my right arm. It'l be completely useless.

So is it worth going through the surgery, and spending 5 months without the use of my hand? Honestly, between school and work, I don't think I could do it. Not being able to use my right hand for 5 months, would really suck.

Honestly, It's not the end of the world, and I'm sure there are other people with better problems than I, (better problems? well you know what I mean), but I'm debating whether or not to go through surgery, or just live with a pinky finger that can't have it's tip bent...basically making a full fist is almost impossible...my pinky finger sticks out..

The first step is to see whether or not the tendon is still sitting in it's orginal place....I've just been thinking ahead.

I'm probably just really stressed from many things....the pinky finger....school....papers.....work.....a girl I love, who doesn't feel the same way....and all that type of good stuff. :D

...and rather than use my online journal, which I do have...I figuered I'd write here, because I get to get some responces. :P

I broke my wrist once.... well I fractured my wrist in several places in a car wreck (my fault, my friends car). Then I worked for a few weeks stocking groceries and the pain in my wrist never went away, in fact it was getting worse. So I went to the doctor for the first time. He said he could not believe I had been working all this time.

I told my employer to quit whining and deal with it because whether they liked it or not, I was going back to my hometown thus would be out for a few weeks. It was their fault the fracture had worsened into a break.... They knew I was gimped up yet they kept working me like a horse. There was not much they could say after that.

So I go back to my hometown, back to my parents, fresh with a wreck and all that legal BS on my shoulders. I felt like the biggest looser, everything screwed up, nothing going my way. My friends parents who I looked up to were riding my ass, my parents were not seeing me as any kind of hero, the status of my job was in question. However, now that I think about it, it was at that very time that I got to know my ex-girlfriend again. It was that humiliating trip home that put us back on each others radar. That started a relationship that grew; fast-forward nine years later and that ex-girlfriend is now my wife.

Weird how when you are down, out, with no options remaining; great things can come your way. Locke, keep you head up, and your eyes open. It ant over till you are six feet under. You make your future, get yours!

Also, since you will not be able to use your right hand, you can work really hard on using the left one and become ambidextrous to a degree. And that is cool! :P

Much bigger problem right there...

Since I can't seem to come up with something funny right now, I'll be serious instead. :?
If it's just the outermost joint that won't work, It's probably not worth fixing it, it's not like you're using it to push buttons on your mouse, right?
IE useless :D

Much, much, much bigger problem here. Actually, this could be worse : imagine the girl thinks she feels the same way...for one month :( Ha crap, life sux.

For your finger I would go through surgery to not have remorses later.

I fell in love twice, with two girls, over the past 2-3 years. The first girl was like the kind of love where if your heart get's broken you just wanna kill yourself. I was hurt tremendously, but like with anything, I got over it.
So I fell in love with two girls, and they never felt the way I did for them...oh well.

The real reason I cut my finger was because I was having a POLITICAL arguement with my friend online, and my mother decided to come in and argue with me about something stupid. I came in the kitchen, leaned against the kitchen counter where the knife rack was, and as I was aruging with my Mother I was leaning back and forth, and of course my hands ended up on the knife rack while leaning back and forth, and a couple of leans later my pinky finger was almost cut off. And no, I wasn't trying to kill my mother.

The moral of the story? Well, politics, religion, and evolution are three things that I shouldn't talk about to other people. :)

It's basically my fault, because I let myself get mad, but oh well, we live and learn right?

Crap! It doesn't appear this thread will have the amusing ending like the other one you started. :) Oh well. Actually I don't believe anyone here can your question for you, but here is my response.

Put all the other stuff you are going through off to the side. I know that's tough but you only have to do it while you decide this one important thing. The reason I don't believe others can help you is because only you know how bad the pinky thing really is. Balance the two things. Which comes out ahead. Can you live the rest of your life with a slightly messed up pinky? If you punch a lot of people it might become a problem, but I suspect it's something you might learn to live with. Are you guaranteed a completely normal pinky if you go through the five months of surgery and rehab? Will some physical therapy help with the way things are now.

Straight pinky for life vs. 5 months of a tough stretch then you are done. Which do you want? We can support you but I don't think we can decide for you since only you know how it feels.

Well nothing is guaranteed, but I won't actually know all the info until I have the first surgery to see if the tendon is actually there.

We'll see.

Thanks for the help and support guys/gals; I've managed to sort some things out. 8)
